Overall Definition of the Job:

Scarborough based Unison Ltd is a highly successful manufacturer of CNC tube bending machines, suppling high-end products to a world market, in sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Marine.

We are seeking engineers/improvers to join our software team.

You will perform product development and maintenance on a range of IT and software based control applications relating to our range of all-electric tube bending machines and ancillary equipment.

The positions are based at our manufacturing facility in Scarborough but travel throughout the UK and world will be required, as necessary.

This is a full-time salary based role. Hours of work a 39 hour week: 7.45am – 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.

You may be required to work overtime depending on production demand.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain & improve our software & IT systems.
• Assist with commissioning of machinery either in person or remotely.
• Create technical documentation for end users.
• Liaise with customers / Unison support teams to diagnose and correct system faults.

Qualifications / Experience

• A strong academic background including software engineering or similar field.
• A strong command of written and spoken English in order to create documentation and assist on support calls.

Experience in machinery control systems, PLCs, servo drives, industrial robots, will be of advantage but not essential.

Experience of mechanical and electrical systems will be of advantage but not essential.
