Job description
We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Software Engineer to further strengthen our software team. This would be the ideal job for an experienced back-end Game Engine developer, or CADCAM developer looking for a new challenge and a change of scenery.
Essential
- The drive and motivation to imagine and invent new things in software, with a solid track record of doing so.
- Excellent applied maths skills for 3D geometry, that are fresh, sharp and ready to use.
- Proven C++ skills, with at least 10 years’ experience working in C++ on large systems (.NET knowledge is not required).
- Strong testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and explanation skills, both verbal and written.
- The willingness, adaptability and resilience needed to work pragmatically in a dynamic team in a small but highly innovative and internationally respected company.
Highly advantageous
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in the design and implementation of intuitive, uncluttered, powerful UIs that give the best possible user experience.
- Experience with wxWidgets.
- Experience with the OGRE graphics rendering engine.
- Degree educated in maths or engineering.
Advantageous
- Experience in working with CAD and CAM systems, and especially writing code to handle CAD interchange formats such as STEP and IGES.
- Familiarity with Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT).
- Experience with programming TCP- and UDP-based network communications.
