SHOWSTOPPERS! UNISON’S INNOVATIONS WOW VISITORS AT SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING AND WIRE & TUBE MEXICO

What an incredible couple of weeks it’s been! From February 4th to 6th, members of our UK team were proudly showing off our machine tool technologies at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics.

Then, just a few days later, from February 11th to 13th, our North American division, Unison Tube LLC, was busy exhibiting at Wire & Tube Mexico.

At both events, visitors were able to discover more about our range of all-electric and hybrid-electric tube bending machines, along with technologies from the wider Unison family.

If you’re one of the many people who requested further details about our technologies, rest assured, we’ll be in touch very soon.

Manually operated, CNC-controlled tube bending

On show and operational at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics was one of our EvBend 1000 manually operated, CNC-controlled tube bending machines.

Designed for low volume, high-accuracy production and prototyping, Unison EvBend models are used across aerospace and MRO, Formula 1 and the oil & gas industry, where they provide 3-axis mandrel, multi-plane bending at a fraction of the cost of fully automated machines.

Opt2Sim Scan with Creaform3d

Since its launch, our Opt2Sim Scan software has been widely recognised as the premier measurement tool for the rapid scanning of tube geometry and easy extraction of tube data.

And, as visitors to our stand at Southern Manufacturing discovered, our recently forged partnership with Creaform3d is proving a real gamechanger – bringing together Opt2Sim Scan with Creaform3d’s handheld scanners to create what is possibly the world’s most powerful, no-compromise portable 3D scanning metrology solution for tube and pipe measurement and reverse engineering.

Nukon fibre lasers and more…

Visitors to Southern Manufacturing were also able to find out more about the machine tools available from our sister companies, Nukon Lasers UK and wire-bending machinery maker, Pneuform Machines Ltd.

At the same time, manufacturers and subcontractors not requiring the speed of production that Unison’s all-electric and hybrid-electric tube bending machines provide were also able to learn about Unison’s recent association with Mackma to offer its ‘standard line’ of single-stack rotary draw bending machines and briquetting machines.

“Amazing response”

“We received an amazing response from visitors at Southern Manufacturing,” comments Unison Ltd’s Joint Managing Director, Alan Pickering.

“With our world-class Unison tube bending machines, highly accessible premium-quality Nukon fibre laser machines, and our Pneuform wire and small diameter tube bending machines, we offer what I believe is the most comprehensive choice of quality machine tool technologies for organisations and subcontractors wanting to provide precision tube and wire bending and/or laser cutting.”

Success story repeated in Mexico

Over at Wire & Tube Mexico, it was a similar story of success.

Unison’s all-electric and hybrid-electric tube bending machines gained considerable attention, as did Unison’s Pneuform range of wire and small-bore tube bending machines.

Unison acquired Pneuform – a leading name in the manufacture of wire forming and small-bore tube bending machines in autumn 2023 – and since then has been working hard to ensure the brand continues to lead the way in the wire bending machinery market.

As standard, all Pneuform machines are equipped with Yaskawa drives and Unison’s user-friendly software for easy programming and operation.

“Wire & Tube Mexico was a fantastic event for us,” comments Unison Tube LLC’s Vice President, Stuart Singleton.

“Visitors to our display were not only able to find out about Unison’s incredible tube bending machines and Pneuform’s exceptional wire and small-bore tube bending technologies, they could also learn about the latest advances in our Unibend CNC, tube bending simulation software and advanced tube bending application app.

We gained an exceptional number of high-quality leads from manufacturers and subcontractors during the event and look forward to exhibiting at Wire & Tube Mexico again.”
